Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract at a high-volume academic medical center in Boston, requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Details
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) within a large academic medical center's Heart and Vascular Institute
- Facility features 7 procedure rooms, a hybrid OR, and a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient prep and recovery; all procedure rooms have been upgraded within the last 1–5 years
- Case types range from outpatient right heart catheterizations (RHC) and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions, averaging 30+ cases per day
- Primary charting system is Epic; hemodynamic measurements are performed on the Siemens Sensis system
- Schedule options include either 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts; day shift hours are 07:30–20:00
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call is possible during the contract; no worked weekend or holiday shifts are required
- In a 13-week contract, candidates can typically expect 1–2 weeknight call assignments and possibly 1 weekend call assignment
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications — AHA only; no other providers accepted for this location
- Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience required
- 2+ years of ICU experience preferred
- 1+ years of Cath Lab RN experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted

- The Cath Lab RN serves as a critical member of the patient care team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and delivering patient- and family-centered care
- Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season as a condition of employment at this facility
- No validated parking is available at this Boston location; public transportation is encouraged, and public parking lots are available at an estimated cost of $17–$22 per day
- Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
