Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit position requiring ACLS and BLS certifications and proficiency with critical drips on a 13-week night shift contract in North Carolina.
Details
- 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
- Must be proficient with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekends and holidays are included in the schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to like or lesser acuity units required based on census
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- CPI certification required
- Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Unit team consists of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US staff, and unit secretaries
- Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application to be honored
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
