Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in California, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency across a broad range of cardiac procedures including EP, IABP, and TEE.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
- Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertion, lead extraction/removal, cardioversion, IABP placement/removal, TEE, tilt table studies, and stress testing (exercise and pharmacological)
- Responsible for scrubbing and circulating procedures
- Administers and monitors procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, dobutamine, thrombolytics, reversal agents, and emergency medications
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
- Proficiency in a broad range of cardiac cath lab skills including EP procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, sheath removal/monitoring, and radiation and laser safety
- Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE
