Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Kennewick, WA, requiring 3+ years of surgical specialty experience including robotic, orthopedic, and vascular procedures.
Details
- OR setting within a 111-bed teaching hospital at Trauma Level III
- 6 OR rooms serving both outpatient and inpatient surgical cases
- Surgical specialties include general surgery (robotic and laparoscopic), urology, gynecology, spine, orthopedics (total joints, podiatry, and hand), and vascular
- Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift, 6:15 AM – 5:15 PM
- Call required: 7 calls per month, including at least 1 Saturday, 1 Sunday, and 1 holiday
- No floating required
- Primarily Stryker equipment used
- EMR: Paragon
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or Compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
- Experience across most or all surgical specialties listed (general, robotic, urology, gyn, spine, ortho, vascular) required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Located in Kennewick, WA, the largest of the Tri-Cities area in southeastern Washington
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Orientation dates are scheduled bi-monthly; the nearest upcoming dates align with the projected start timeline

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
