Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology outpatient clinic position in Rapid City, SD, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting focused on Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion
• RNs typically see approximately 15–25 patients per day with clinical assistant (CA) support
• Epic EMR experience is required; Omnicell used for medication dispensing
• 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No holiday coverage required
• No floating required
• Time off requests subject to approval

Requirements

• Active RN license in South Dakota (SD) or a Compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• OCN certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Proficiency in chart checks, patient rooming, vital signs, weight assessment, review of systems, and medication reconciliation
• Must be comfortable training in other supportive clinic areas as needed, including assisting with physicians and referrals
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait a full year before returning as a travel nurse
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Unit support includes a charge nurse, resource nurse, CA, and physician/ARNP on-site
• Orientation takes place in-department at the clinic
• Navy blue scrubs required
