Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology outpatient clinic position in Rapid City, SD, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology clinic setting focused on Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion
- RNs typically see approximately 15–25 patients per day with clinical assistant (CA) support
- Epic EMR experience is required; Omnicell used for medication dispensing
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No holiday coverage required
- No floating required
- Time off requests subject to approval
Requirements
- Active RN license in South Dakota (SD) or a Compact state license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- OCN certification preferred but not required
- Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Proficiency in chart checks, patient rooming, vital signs, weight assessment, review of systems, and medication reconciliation
- Must be comfortable training in other supportive clinic areas as needed, including assisting with physicians and referrals
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait a full year before returning as a travel nurse
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Unit support includes a charge nurse, resource nurse, CA, and physician/ARNP on-site
- Orientation takes place in-department at the clinic
- Navy blue scrubs required
