Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR Scrub and Circulate position requiring 3–5 years of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular scrub and circulating experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Primary role is scrubbing, with circulating responsibilities as needed
• Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VADs — adult required, pediatric experience a plus
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM (13-hour shifts)
• 40 hours per week
• On-call is required
• Approximately 6–10 shifts per 6-week period, including approximately 1 weekend per month
• Overtime may be required based on departmental needs
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Virginia (VA) or Compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CNOR certification preferred
• 3–5 years of recent experience scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to function as a collaborative team member

Additional Information

• Participates in ongoing research protocols within the department
• Holiday coverage is required: one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per departmental need
• Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 working weeks are completed
