Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/PICU/CVICU night shift position requiring an Ohio RRT license and a minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience.

Details

  • Work within RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU units treating pediatric patients
  • High level of care (Level 4) required for NICU and PICU cases
  • May float to Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
  • Contract lengths of 8 or 12 weeks available

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RRT license required in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • NBRC certification required, active with no pending status
  • BLS certification required
  • Advanced NRP certification required
  • PALS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Experience in PEDS, PICU, and NICU high-level care (Level 4) required
  • Two references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from assignments worked within the past 12 months
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required within 12 months of start and updated annually

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory therapy care to critically ill pediatric patients across NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings
  • Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free environment with no exceptions
  • Two fingerprinting processes required: one onsite prior to start and one through the agency, with BCI/FBI prints completed within 48 hours of signing contract
  • Background check results of any kind will be reviewed by the facility, and license-related issues are not accepted
  • Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
  • Extensions may be granted for up to 18 months total, after which a 6-month break is required before returning to this health system
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be discussed during the interview process
  • First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
