Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and ACLS certification, working night shifts in a combined LTAC ICU and Med-Surg environment.

Details

• Position is based in a 12-bed LTAC ICU that is staffed in conjunction with a 31-bed Med-Surg unit, with staff working both units
• Patient population includes adults (18+) with diagnoses such as vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach, and PEG
• Omnicell medication dispensing system in use
• Epic EMR is used in this setting
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on unit need
• Floating to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units where their competencies are qualified and documented

Requirements

• Active RN license — SC state license or compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent LTAC ICU or equivalent specialty experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the relevant Prisma Health flagship hospital (Prisma Greenville) to be eligible for this position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult patients with complex conditions including ventilator weaning, tracheostomy/PEG management, spinal cord injury, and wound care
• First-time travelers will be considered depending on relevant specialty experience
• Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from all Prisma Health facilities to qualify for the standard travel rate; the 50-mile minimum applies specifically to Adult ICU positions
