Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Austin, TX, requiring ACLS/BLS and at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, with on-call responsibilities and a Monday–Friday day schedule.
Details
- Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of a hospital setting in Austin, TX
- 8-bed unit staffed with a team of RNs and CV techs
- Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, PCI, peripheral procedures, and pacemaker and defibrillator implants
- Utilizes cardiovascular invasive equipment
- EMR: Meditech
- Monday–Friday day shift, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
- On-call required from 3:00 PM–6:30 AM on weekdays, and 48-hour on-call coverage on weekends (approximately 10–12 call days per week)
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
- RCIS preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- 13-week contract
