Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with pediatric experience for a night shift, weekend-focused contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Pediatric hospital setting within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
- X-Ray department serving a pediatric patient population
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with holiday rotation
- On-call rotation is required; must be able to report within 1 hour of being called in
- On-call hours: Mon–Fri 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekends 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Floating to other pediatric imaging locations on the same campus may be required for critical staffing coverage
- Charting via Epic
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of dedicated pediatric imaging experience required
- OR experience and C-arm experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required; SCRQSA (R) also accepted
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- SC license must be in hand prior to start; license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard pay rate; local candidates within 60 miles are accepted but at a reduced rate
- Radiation badge must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to start
Additional Information
- O-arm experience is preferred; training will be provided for both O-arm and C-arm as needed
- Trauma experience is preferred but not required
- Orientation may take place during daytime weekday shifts in the first week of the contract; the set weekend night schedule begins the following week
- Online modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Scrub color: Teal top with black bottoms
- Parking passes for nights and weekends are available for a one-time fee of $20
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak months are August and September
