Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and CRRT experience for a travel assignment requiring AHA certifications and SC or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• ICU setting within a 97-bed hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted, with 4x12 preferred
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required
• Self-scheduling unit; schedules are set every 6 weeks
• Charting in Epic

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact/Multi-State RN license required; must be in hand prior to start (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• CRRT experience required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the 2-year ICU experience requirement
• Former permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; no additional PTO will be approved after accepting the assignment
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Pre-assignment online modules are required and must be completed before the start date
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
