Description
American Traveler is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment at a community medical center in Jamestown, ND.
Details
- Outpatient occupational therapy setting within a community hospital
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Patient population spans all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Focus on activities of daily living, sensorimotor, perceptual-motor, educational, recreational, and social activities
- Swingbed patient assessments included as part of caseload
- Charting performed in Epic; experience required
- Medication system is Omnicell
Requirements
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience
- M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Current NBCOT registration required
- Current BLS certification required
- ND state licensure required
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Additional Information
- Evaluate and implement individualized OT programs addressing physical, cognitive, psychological, and social needs
- Design, fabricate, and fit adaptive devices such as splints and braces
- Perform worksite analysis and ergonomic assessments with written recommendations
- Provide therapy services for Home Health and other facilities or groups contracted through the hospital
- Supervise Rehab Aides, COTA, students, and Rehab Secretary/Aide as needed
- Conduct training for medical and nursing personnel in OT techniques and objectives
- Works under the supervision of the Rehab Manager within established department policies and procedures
- Required onboarding modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Candidates with previous employment at any facility location must disclose this history for a do-not-return check
