Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position on the Family Birth Place unit, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and working night shifts on a 13-week contract in Ogden, UT.

• Family Birth Place unit within a hospital setting, encompassing Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
• Unit includes 25 LDRP rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Night shift schedule: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratios: Labor 1:1–2; Postpartum 3–4 couplets
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, 4–5 labor nurses, 2–3 postpartum nurses, 1 ward clerk, 1 CNA, and 1 OB Tech
• Procedures include inductions, vaginal deliveries, C-sections with or without tubals, speculum exams, and triage
• EMR systems: CPN and Meditech
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active UT or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced fetal monitoring certification, or NCC-EFM, required for this L&D position
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery clinical experience required
• All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Preferred skills include postpartum care, lactation/breastfeeding assistance, OR circulating for C-sections, triage, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification, and RNC-EFM
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Ideal candidates are flexible, adaptable, team-oriented, and bring a positive attitude
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
