Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift inpatient hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant unit, with ONS certification and Epic EMR experience required.
Details
- Inpatient oncology unit with 28 adult acute care hematology/oncology beds and a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Floating required per facility float policy
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license (pending license will be accepted)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required — candidates may be considered with cert pending, provided it is completed before the start date
- Oncology nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides acute care nursing to adult hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant patients
- Depending on experience, the manager may require completion of ONS Fundamentals in addition to the Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification
- Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
