Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and proficiency in Echo and Vascular studies for a 13-week travel contract in Batesville, AR.

Details

• Hospital-based Ultrasound/Non-Invasive department
• Performs a broad range of cardiac and vascular studies including TTE Echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, Thrombin injections, and vein mapping exams
• Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast are performed in this role
• Current equipment includes 3 Philips CVX Epiq machines, 1 Philips Elite Epiq machine, and a Vasculab ABI machine
• MediTech EMR is used in this department
• Monday–Friday day shifts, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• One weekday night on-call requirement per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Sonographer experience required
• Experience in both Echo and Vascular studies required
• Ability to perform Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast required
• Ability to independently start an IV required
• MediTech EMR experience required
• Active ARDMS certification required
• Active AHA BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from Batesville, AR to be considered; applicants between 90 and 150 miles may be reviewed but are less likely to be selected

Additional Information

• Manages and prioritizes high-volume workload to ensure timely patient care and communicates pending exams and relevant information to fellow technologists
• Assists physicians with radiology procedures and supports other areas of radiology during downtime
• Responsible for maintaining equipment cleanliness, including wiping down machine surfaces between patients and at the end of each workday
• Must be available to respond to on-call requests and arrive in the department within 30 minutes of being called in
• Participates in required hospital and department in-services and meetings
• Skills checklist current within 1 year and 2 supervisory reference forms taken within the last 2 years are required for consideration
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this contract
