Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in Joplin, MO.
Details
- Acute care hospital respiratory therapy department
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Epic
- 13-week assignment in Joplin, MO
Requirements
- Active RRT credential and current BLS certification required
- Preferred certifications: NRP, ACLS, and PEARS
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Post-secondary (undergraduate) education preferred
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment, unless documented renewal is scheduled
- Missouri RT license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Evaluate patient reactions to respiratory therapy treatments and recommend corresponding care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to deliver comprehensive respiratory care
- Black scrubs required; torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not permitted
- Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or reassignment is required
- Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
- Facility has earned a CMS 3-Star Rating and a Leapfrog Group 'B' Hospital Safety Grade (Fall 2024)
