Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Endoscopy/GI Lab position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license in hand and at least 1 year of GI experience.

Details

Work in the Endoscopy unit of a 65-bed acute care hospital
Day shift schedule: 4x8-hour shifts, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Charting is performed using Cerner
Block scheduling is not available for this position; flexibility in scheduling is required
Free parking is available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

Active IL RN license currently in hand is required for consideration
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 1 year of GI Lab/Endoscopy nursing experience required
Experience with Cerner EMR required
Proficiency with Olympus scopes, ERBE equipment, polyp snares, and foreign body equipment required
Experience with colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures required
Experience with opioid analgesics, reversal agents, and specimen handling/labeling required
Experience in outpatient surgery or infusion settings is beneficial
Previous charge nurse experience is a plus
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform GI/Endoscopy nursing care including colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures
Responsible for proper specimen handling and labeling
Any time-off requests must be discussed with the manager during the interview
Scrubs of any color are acceptable; no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or apparel with logos from other organizations
