Description
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with MFM or strong OB/GYN ultrasound experience for a 13-week outpatient clinic assignment performing detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiograms, and advanced obstetric imaging studies.

- Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic setting
- Sonography/Ultrasound unit focused on obstetric and gynecological imaging
- Imaging studies include detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiograms, BPP, fetal growth scans, umbilical artery Dopplers, transvaginal ultrasound, 1st trimester ultrasound, and amniocentesis ultrasound guidance
- Limited to 10 scans per shift with a restricted number of complex scans
- Equipment includes GE E10 and Expert 22 ultrasound systems
- EMR: Epic (experience preferred); Viewpoint also used
- Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM–11:30 AM (8-hour shifts)
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sonography experience, with MFM or strong OB/GYN ultrasound background required
- RDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required; Fetal Echo (FE) credential preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- ARDMS certification required
- Proficiency with detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiography, and advanced obstetric imaging studies required
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound studies in a dedicated MFM outpatient clinic environment
- Reports directly to an in-office MFM provider
- Orientation is approximately 12 hours
- Black pants and CommonSpirit-approved scrub colors are required
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
