Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in the Denver, CO area, requiring at least 2 years of clinical experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work setting is a 408-bed hospital with a main OR consisting of 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid CV OR, 1 cystoscopy room, and 12 multipurpose ORs
• Day shift staffing includes 14–16 RNs and 14–16 CSTs, supported by two Clinical Charge RNs
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Standard OR equipment in use, including Stryker video systems
• EMR is Meditech; experience is preferred
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call is required one day per week from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, plus weekend on-call once every 6 weeks when the SSC Ortho physician is on-call
• Typical procedures include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases; no transplant procedures performed

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical OR experience required
• At least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Team includes OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, Service Line Lead RNs, Tech Service Line Coordinators, Clinical Charge RNs, a Director, and a VP
