Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of Pain/IR experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Interventional Radiology/Pain Management unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 5x8s, 8:00am–4:30pm
• Every other weekend required (approximately 2 weekends per month), with occasional weekend day shifts 8:00am–4:30pm
• On-call rotation assigned on a weekly basis: M–F 12:00am–8:00am; weekends and holidays 24 hours; on-call is rotated among all nurses
• Mandatory float facility — travelers are required to float within Radiology and Pain departments at the facility's discretion
• Charting performed in Cerner (experience preferred)
• Lead protective wear required during shift

Requirements

• Active IL RN license, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pain Management and/or Interventional Radiology
• ICU experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• COVID vaccination proof required — booster not required

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Navy blue, not provided by the facility
• RTO is capped at 5 days per contract with no more than 2 consecutive days off; no RTO approved on weekends
• No RTO on holidays, or on the day immediately before or after a holiday
• Local candidates are welcome and preferred; candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, though the RTO and float policies are strict with no exceptions
