Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II Special Care Nursery in Kennewick, WA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and cross-training in both NICU and OB.
Details
- Level II Special Care Nursery (NICU) at a 111-bed teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA
- This unit supports OB coverage as well and requires cross-training in both NICU and OB — only candidates trained in both areas will be considered
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- Float requirement: may be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- Cross-training and experience in both NICU and OB required
- AHA certifications required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Candidate must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Active licensure verification (Nursys) required at time of consideration
- Hospital is a teaching facility serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland) in southeastern Washington
- Services include ED, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Ortho/Joint Replacements, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and more

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
