Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart surgery and vascular case experience, with weekday hours and weekend call responsibilities.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an acute care hospital setting
- Averages 6 cases per day, including open heart surgery and vascular procedures
- Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM on weekdays
- Weekend call required
- Duties may include scrub and/or circulating roles, both within and outside the sterile field
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Proficiency in open heart surgery and vascular cases required
- Competency in all circulating duties required
- Basic computer skills with experience in clinical charting systems required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include prepping the OR, positioning patients on the operating table, and completing Safe Surgery checklists
- Serves as the communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
- Assists with supply and equipment control and maintenance
- Weekend call participation is required as scheduled
