Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced telemetry experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Advanced telemetry monitoring required, including management of Cardizem and insulin drips (hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on tele
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Floating to a sister facility may be requested
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• 3 professional references required upon offer acceptance (2 must be from leadership such as a manager or charge RN)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
• Candidates must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia exam during onboarding
• Weekly orientation is provided
• Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply at a local pay rate
