Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience and a current WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Unit consists of 7 labor beds, 3 triage bays, 2 PACU beds, and 16 mother-baby beds
• Patient population is adult women of childbearing age
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30), with 4x12 also acceptable
• Weekend availability required unless posted schedule indicates otherwise
• Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister hospitals
• Charting is done in Epic; experience is preferred
• 281-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level 4 Trauma designation

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they meet the 3+ year L&D experience requirement
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
• RTO is limited to 1 week maximum and cannot be requested during orientation week; holiday coverage is required
• Prior UW health system employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs are provided for OR personnel only
• Monthly parking cost is approximately $85
