Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a travel assignment at a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center in New Haven, CT.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,500+ beds
  • X-Ray generalist role supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging
  • Patient population includes both pediatric and adult patients
  • Daily caseload is variable and dependent on ED and inpatient portable imaging volume
  • Emergency Room imaging uses Fuji equipment; portable inpatient fleet uses Carestream units
  • Charting via Epic
  • 5x8 evening shift schedule: Monday and Friday 3:30 PM–12:00 AM; Tuesday, Wednesday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • Every other Saturday and Sunday 3:30 PM–1:00 AM
  • No on-call requirement

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • Active ARRT certification required
  • Active state license required; pending license accepted if active prior to start date — license required if applicable
  • Ability to function independently in the Emergency Department and with inpatient portable imaging
  • Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations
  • Trauma center experience at a large facility required
  • Proficiency with Fuji and Carestream imaging equipment preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must have lived more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
  • RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
  • Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine and booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
  • Teal scrubs required
  • Parking is available for approximately $125/month
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration

My phone showed her number as spam and I think blocked some of the texts I wish it hadn't have done that but that was nothing on her end all on mine so make sure that you have your settings to allow the calls and texts from spam
