Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a travel assignment at a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center in New Haven, CT.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,500+ beds
- X-Ray generalist role supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging
- Patient population includes both pediatric and adult patients
- Daily caseload is variable and dependent on ED and inpatient portable imaging volume
- Emergency Room imaging uses Fuji equipment; portable inpatient fleet uses Carestream units
- Charting via Epic
- 5x8 evening shift schedule: Monday and Friday 3:30 PM–12:00 AM; Tuesday, Wednesday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
- Every other Saturday and Sunday 3:30 PM–1:00 AM
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active state license required; pending license accepted if active prior to start date — license required if applicable
- Ability to function independently in the Emergency Department and with inpatient portable imaging
- Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations
- Trauma center experience at a large facility required
- Proficiency with Fuji and Carestream imaging equipment preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must have lived more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
- Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- Teal scrubs required
- Parking is available for approximately $125/month
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
