Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- ICU position within a large, short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ beds
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Average patient ratio of 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends
- Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
- Floating required to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Charting via Epic
- Parking is available at an additional cost of $125/month
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and eligibility
- Nursing license must be free of any prior disciplinary actions
- Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination required (religious or medical exemptions considered)
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
