Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and OASIS training preferred for a 13-week contract in the Tampa, FL area.
Details
- Home health setting serving skilled care patients under Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
- Diverse patient population including med/surg, cardiac, ortho (hips/knees/shoulders), post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson's, failure to thrive, respiratory, neuro, trach, trauma, AKA/BKA, and ADL patients
- Caseload of 6–8 home visits per day (minimum 6 points per day, with potential increases at manager's discretion)
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00–17:00)
- 1–2 weekend shifts required per contract
- Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare office
- Documentation systems include BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet
- Laptop, MiFi, and portable printer provided for field use
Requirements
- Current, active OT license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of home health OT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- OASIS training preferred
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
- COVID vaccination required, or exemption form on file
- Flu shot required or declination on file; mandatory mask wearing at all times while on the job if not vaccinated for flu
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Conduct skilled home visits across a wide variety of diagnoses and post-acute conditions
- Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
- Self-scheduling model based on the HomeCare office's daily needs
