Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring Epic experience and ACLS certification for a night shift contract.

Details

  • Work in a fast-paced, 15-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU at a Level 1 trauma facility
  • Adult surgical and trauma critical care patient population
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Floating required per facility float policy
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Prior surgical/trauma ICU experience required
  • Level 1 trauma facility experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to adult surgical and trauma ICU patients
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
  • RTO cannot be approved for Memorial Day weekend
  • No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
