Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 18 months of true telemetry experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Telemetry Float Pool unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units is required
• Must be willing to care for COVID-positive patients
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Patient population includes pre- and post-cardiac cath patients, sheath management, and patients requiring drip titration

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 18 months of true telemetry/cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience with titrating drips, pre/post cardiac cath care, and sheath management required
• Cerner EMR experience required — no exceptions
• Prior travel nursing experience required — no exceptions
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher; exam covers lethal rhythms and is mandatory to pass
• 8 cardiac CEUs and 8 stroke CEUs are required for this telemetry placement
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No block scheduling will be added to the contract
• Time off requests submitted after hiring will not be approved
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
