Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, with behavioral health exposure, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- MS/Tele unit within a short-term acute care hospital (733 staffed beds) designated as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Behavioral health patient population in addition to standard MS/Tele cases
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
- No on-call requirements
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
- Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
- RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
- Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Previously employed travelers must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
- Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing a 6-month break prior to returning
