Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week night shift contract at an academic medical center, with a minimum of 12 months of experience required.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within a general ultrasound unit
  • Night shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4x10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 months of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
  • Current BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • BSN preferred; diploma and associate degrees from ACEN- or CCNE-accredited programs are also accepted
  • 2 professional references from supervisor level or above required for consideration
  • Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates must not have been employed by this facility within the previous 6 months
  • This is a drug- and tobacco-free workplace; smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus
  • The facility enforces a natural nail policy
  • Black scrubs are required
  • Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application, as requests submitted after placement may be declined
  • Travelers are not guaranteed holidays off

Endoscopy unit is a well run, well oiled machine. Staff is very professional and management on point! It was my favorite travel job so far!

Cons

The fact that you need to walk through metal detectors, but it’s for everyone’s safety!
