Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a weekend-focused position at a Level II Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital in Corpus Christi, TX.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a large regional medical center and Level II Trauma Center serving the Coastal Bend area
- Academic teaching facility affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine
- Imaging MRI department performing a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI procedures
- Saturday and Sunday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with on-call coverage Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- PACS system used; PACS Superuser responsibilities required
- May be required to work other shifts or at other campuses as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical MRI setting
- Level I or Level II hospital experience required
- MRI certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or approved equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency required
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures while supporting patient flow and other imaging staff
- Responsible for MRI safety screening of patients and employees
- Participate in QA, troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, and resolve image processing and PACS archiving issues
- Expected to participate in ongoing education, safety initiatives, and technical advances within scope of licensure
- The facility is an accredited Chest Pain Center and holds Joint Commission Stroke Team accreditation
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
