Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Vestal, NY, requiring a valid NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC or related clinical experience.

Details

• State/government-run long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care services
• Assigned to the LTC unit with a patient population that includes residents with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Patient ratio is approximately 1:18–20 in a 300-bed facility
• Night shift schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (40 hrs/week), with a shift start of 10:45 PM and end at 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend may be required upon facility request
• No floating between units
• Point of Care Charting (PCC - PointClickCare) is used; prior experience is not required

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required; no license encumbrances or disciplinary actions allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med/surg, or hospital experience will also be considered
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Proof of NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Strong attendance and punctuality are essential for this role

Additional Information

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, performing accurate and safe medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition, completing timely and accurate documentation
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Any solid scrub color and closed-toe shoes are required
• Relias compliance modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date; access is provided via email within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and cannot be approved after an offer is made; candidates cannot take every holiday off
• Shift and scheduling changes are not permitted after an offer is accepted
