Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in Charleston, SC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability.
Details
- Located in a 313-bed Level II Trauma Center and Chest Pain Center-accredited hospital in Charleston, SC
- Assignment in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 2 labs and approximately 10 cases per day
- Procedures performed include LHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, and IABP
- Equipment used includes GE X-ray
- Documentation systems used: Maclab and Meditech
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- On-call requirements of 7–9 call days per month, including at least 1 weekend
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — SC or Compact state license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Knowledge of emergency medications required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

- The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited Stroke Center and holds Chest Pain Center accreditation from the American College of Cardiology
