Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring pediatric experience and ACLS/PALS certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

  • Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a children's hospital
  • Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults with cardiac disease
  • Manages intubated and ventilated patients requiring complex critical care
  • Experience with inotropes and vasoactive medications in a cardiac ICU setting
  • Procedures include central lines, arterial lines, and PIVs with CLABSI reduction protocols
  • Possible exposure to Berlin Heart and Heartmate ventricular assist devices
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with the expectation to transfer and admit patients within the same shift
  • Float to PICU as needed
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
  • 8-week contract

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Pediatric nursing experience required
  • Prior CVICU or PICU experience strongly preferred
  • Travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to pediatric and neonatal cardiac patients in a high-acuity CVPICU environment
  • Must be prepared to manage complex cardiac cases including patients on advanced mechanical circulatory support devices
