Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency, with night shifts and first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department (ED)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Department required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior Charge RN experience preferred
- Level 2 Trauma center experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Flexible scheduling is expected
