Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with ARRT (M) certification and experience in 3D, diagnostic, and screening mammography for a 13-week outpatient assignment in the Placerville, CA area.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting across two facilities approximately 15 miles apart (Placerville and Cameron Park areas)
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Procedures include 3D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, screening mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- General X-ray and DXA scanning may occasionally be required for candidates with existing training
- Uses GE mammography equipment and Epic EMR
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM depending on location
- No weekends or on-call required
- Floating between two locations is required; typically one facility per week, with rare same-day float between sites
Requirements
- Current BLS, ARRT (M), and CA Mammographic Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
- Proficiency with 3D mammography, digital mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Experience with GE mammography equipment
- Familiarity with digital quality assurance procedures, radiation safety, isolation precautions, and universal precautions
- Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a full range of mammography services including screening, diagnostic, 3D, and interventional procedures such as stereotactic biopsy, needle localizations, and fine needle aspirations
- No RTO will be approved within 2 weeks of the contract start or after the contract is signed — no exceptions; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
