Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Cardiac Med/Surg unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Every other holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• English fluency required
• Basic computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Performs lab specimen collection and bedside lab testing in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies
• Coordinates patient care from admission to discharge, collaborating with team members and delegating tasks appropriately
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age-specific needs and readiness to learn
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for one year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of their locations
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility's leadership team
