Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB RN for a Labor, Delivery & Postpartum night shift position requiring a Maine or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
Details
- OB unit setting within a community hospital environment
- Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
- Night shift schedule
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Maine (ME) or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency required
- COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
Additional Information
- Provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for OB patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology settings
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under charge nurse supervision
- Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
- Must successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation upon arrival
- This is a rapid response/crisis priority position
