Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a high-acuity surgical services department, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (Surgical Services department)
• Perioperative care across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology
• Supports both elective and emergent surgical procedures
• Collaborative work environment with surgeons and anesthesia providers
• Evening shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• Proficiency or trainability in computer systems and clinical applications
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care including patient assessment, intraoperative support, and post-procedure coordination
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care team members to ensure optimal patient flow and safety
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing
• Fast-paced environment focused on patient safety, efficiency, and strong clinical outcomes
• BSN is preferred but not required
