Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel X-Ray Technician with at least 18 months of experience for a night shift position at a large acute care hospital in Morristown, NJ.

Details

• Large 900-bed acute care hospital radiology department
• Night shift: rotating 3x13-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 39 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• Charting via Epic
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Must be comfortable working independently in a high-volume hospital environment
• OR experience required
• Experience with GE imaging equipment required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
• Active NJ State RT License required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform and document appropriate imaging procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain equipment and assess patient safety, comfort, and physiological status throughout procedures
• Monitor the need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflows
• Demonstrated knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance is essential
• Strong initiative, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are required
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility must take a 30–60 day break after reaching one year before returning
