Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification to work in a Level I trauma center CT department.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department within a Level I trauma center that is also Stroke Accredited
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion
- Patient population spans emergency/emergent inpatient needs as well as outpatient cases
- 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every 3rd weekend shift runs from 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM (Saturday/Sunday)
- On-call rotation of one day every 10 weeks, with a required response time within one hour of being called
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required; license required if applicable
- ARRT Advanced certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure Level I trauma environment
- 2 professional references required for consideration: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion studies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to regulatory compliance standards
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
- Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
- All candidates are required to complete an Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after booking — detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
- Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff through CampusParc, ranging from a budget surface lot with shuttle service to a dedicated medical center garage with 24/7 access

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
