Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Sonographer with 1+ year of experience in abdominal, OB, breast, and vascular sonography for a 13-week hospital-based assignment in Red Wing, MN.
Details
- Hospital-based radiology department setting with full patient access
- Experience required in abdominal, OB, breast, and vascular ultrasound
- Varied daytime hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Rotating on-call coverage Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Rotating on-call weekend coverage every 5th weekend, Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- On-site only; no telework available
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the ultrasound specialty
- Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
- ARDMS registration in Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) required; both RVT and RDMS required within 12 months of employment
- BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
- Active license required if applicable
- Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to on-call pager including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Must provide date of birth for consideration
Additional Information
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images meeting Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards across a variety of imaging equipment and technology
- Practices proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients
- Must be organized, efficient, able to multitask, and work independently with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
- COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
