Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB RN for a Labor, Delivery & Post Partum position at a community hospital in Maine, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and active ME or compact RN license.
Details
- Day shift OB RN position in a community hospital obstetrics unit
- Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Maine (ME) or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency required
Additional Information
- Provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for OB patients, demonstrating clinical competency and nursing judgment
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn settings
- Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and other hospital departments
- Must adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies including confidentiality and advance directives
- This is a rapid response/crisis position — candidates should be prepared for an expedited start process
