Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a weekend day shift position at a hospital-based CT department in the Southeast Wisconsin area.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department with 5 scanners
• Inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient population, including general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alerts, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and head scans
• Procedural cases include biopsies and drain placements
• Occasional pediatric patients (primarily teenagers), approximately 2-3 per month; no prior pediatric experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• GE Revolution and GE Evo scanners used; experience preferred
• Epic EMR used
• 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 0800–2030, 36 hours per week
• Weekend-only schedule with possible one day of on-call per week
• No floating required
• Local candidates accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS and ARRT-CT certification
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Experience with hospital-based CT procedures including CT angiography, perfusion studies, and interventional cases
• GE CT equipment experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, dated within the past year
• Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
• 3-shift orientation to learn department flow
• Support team includes fellow CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT/Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Holiday coverage expected when a holiday falls on a scheduled shift (1 summer, 1 winter)
• Travelers may not exceed 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Any solid scrub color is acceptable; camouflage and denim are not permitted
• Free parking available on site
