Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of adult critical care experience for a 13-week night shift contract in a pulmonary unit in Clovis, NM.
Details
- Pulmonary unit at an acute care hospital in Clovis, NM
- Adult critical care, progressive care, medical surgical, and general pediatrics patient population
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Varied shift scheduling; block scheduling is not available
- On-call, weekend, and holiday coverage required
- Floating required, including to alternate locations within 20 miles of the primary assigned location
- Epic EMR used; on-site training available for candidates without prior Epic experience
- 13-week contract with potential extension to 26 weeks based on need
Requirements
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in adult critical care, progressive care, medical surgical care, and/or general pediatrics
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA, AHSI, or American Red Cross
- Current NALS or NRP certification from AHA, AHSI, or American Red Cross
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatments, and ventilatory support for inpatients and outpatients
- Former employees of the health system must wait a minimum of one year before being considered for a travel assignment
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- All required certifications must be current and on file for consideration
