Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active IN or Compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital PCU (Progressive Care Unit) setting
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekend work required
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required
- No on-call requirements
- Cerner EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA and RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Preceptor experience is a plus
- Charge pay is available
- First-time travelers are not typically accepted for this position
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
