Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active IN or Compact RN license.

• Hospital PCU (Progressive Care Unit) setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend work required
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA and RQI accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Preceptor experience is a plus
• Charge pay is available
• First-time travelers are not typically accepted for this position
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
