Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience and active NY RN license.

Details

• PACU unit within a 471-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Patient population includes Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and surgical cases including Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 10:00–20:30
• On-call requirement of 4 shifts per month (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts)
• Charts using Epic (preferred but not required)
• Teal scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory for all RNs at this facility
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
