Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at an academic medical center, requiring a MD RN license and a minimum of 2 years of CVICU/open heart experience.

Details

13-week travel contract in a hospital CVICU setting
Cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patient population including cardiac surgery (CABG, valve, CABG/valve), CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI, AFib with RVR, cardiogenic shock), vascular (peripheral bypasses, EVAR), and thoracic (VATS) cases
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Every other weekend required
Floating required within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity units as needed

Requirements

Active Maryland (MD) or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 2 years of CVICU and/or open heart experience required
Experience with cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patient populations required

Additional Information

Holiday coverage required as scheduled
First-time travelers with extensive CVICU/open heart experience (2+ years) will be considered
Any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
