Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Emergency Department position at an academic health system in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of ED experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Adult Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Trauma experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Travel experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians, and documenting patient responses to care
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — travelers who are not cleared by the compliance due date risk contract cancellation
